Measurement Guide
How to Measure Correctly
Accurate measurements are the foundation of a perfectly tailored blouse. Follow our detailed guide below or chat with our tailoring experts on WhatsApp for personal, step-by-step assistance.

Stand straight and measure from the prominent bone at the base of your neck (cervical vertebra) straight down the spine to the point where you want the blouse to end at the back — typically just above the waistline for a classic silhouette, or shorter for a cropped style.
Have someone measure across your upper back, from the tip of one shoulder bone to the tip of the other, keeping the tape flat. This determines how well the blouse sits on your shoulders and prevents sleeves from sliding or pinching.
Measure the width of the strap from the base of the neckline to the edge of the shoulder. This controls how wide or narrow the shoulder panel will look — wider straps offer more coverage, narrow straps create a delicate look.
Measure vertically from the base of the neck downwards along the spine to where you want the back neckline to sit. Deeper back necklines suit halter or designer styles; shallower depths are ideal for everyday wear.
Measure vertically from the hollow at the base of the front neck down to the desired neckline point. This decides whether you get a modest round neck or a deeper, statement V or sweetheart neckline.
Measure from the tip of the shoulder seam diagonally down to the apex — the fullest, most projected point of the bust. This measurement is critical for placing darts correctly so the blouse contours your bust perfectly.
Measure from the tip of the shoulder, over the bust, straight down to where you want the front of the blouse to end. Front length is usually slightly longer than the back length to accommodate the bust curve.
Wrap the tape around the narrowest part of your natural waist, which is usually about an inch above the navel. Keep the tape comfortably snug, allowing for one finger of ease for movement.
Starting from the tip of the shoulder, measure down the outside of your arm to the desired sleeve ending point — short (above elbow), elbow length, three-quarter, or full length. Bend the arm slightly for a relaxed fit.
Measure around the fullest part of the upper arm with the arm relaxed at your side. Keep the tape level and snug, but not tight. This ensures sleeves move comfortably without pinching the bicep.
Measure around your arm at the exact point where the sleeve will end. This decides how loose or fitted the cuff is — close fitting for a sleek look, looser for breathable comfort or bell flare.
Measure around the entire armhole opening, starting at the shoulder seam, going under the armpit and back to the start. A well-measured armhole prevents pulling at the bust and gives the blouse a clean, professional fit.
